Privacy Policy

In short: CoPlaner stores what is needed for you and your partner to plan together. Your household's data is stored in the EU. We never sell data, show no ads and do not track you. Google Calendar, the iPhone calendar and AI are only used if you turn them on. You can delete your account directly in the app.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Snomoln i Norden AB is the data controller for the processing of personal data in the CoPlaner app. If you have questions about your data, write to support@ungdomsappen.se.
2. What data we process
When you use the app
- Account: email address and password (the password is stored encrypted by Firebase Authentication and cannot be read by us), name, colour, language and chosen avatar or your own profile photo.
- Household: who is in the household, the invite code and the children's names, colours and optional photos.
- Planning: events (title, time, place, note, who is responsible, reminders and a history of who took or handed over an event), shopping lists and items, which items you usually buy, and the children's school schedules.
- Chat: messages, photos, reactions, read receipts and whether someone is typing right now.
- Technical: a notification token so your phone can receive push notifications.
Only if you turn it on
- Google Calendar: an authorization (refresh token) stored on our server and never in the app, events from the calendars you choose, and the changes you make in CoPlaner. CoPlaner creates its own calendar named “CoPlaner” in your Google account for events created in the app.
- iPhone calendar: events from the calendars you choose are read on your phone and shared with your household. CoPlaner never changes anything in your iPhone calendar.
- AI: see section 5.
- Voice: when you dictate an event or items, speech is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, on the device whenever possible. CoPlaner does not store the audio.
- Camera and photos: only the photos you choose to send in the chat, use as a profile photo or read in as a school schedule.
What we do not collect
Your location (place search uses Apple Maps with the words you type), your contacts, biometric data (Face ID is handled entirely by iOS) or advertising identifiers. We use no analytics or advertising tools.
3. Why, and on what legal basis
- To provide the app (contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): showing and sharing your plans, sending notifications and reminders, and syncing the calendars you connect.
- Optional features – Google Calendar, the iPhone calendar, AI and AI suggestions in the chat – are only used when you or your household turn them on and can be turned off at any time.
- Security and troubleshooting (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)): server logs that do not contain the content of messages or events.
4. Who sees what
You and your partner in the household see the household's events, chat, shared shopping lists, school schedules and profile photos. Shopping lists set to “Only me” are visible only to you. Nobody in the app can read your household's Anthropic key or your Google authorization – only our server uses them.
5. AI features (Anthropic)
AI is only used if your household has added its own API key from Anthropic. In that case, when a feature is used, we send:
- the text you dictate or type when you create an event or add items,
- the two conflicting events and the rest of that day's events when you ask for a suggestion on how to solve a conflict,
- the image or PDF of a school schedule you choose to read in (it is not stored by us),
- and – only if both of you have turned on “AI suggestions in the chat” – the latest chat messages (text, not photos) and the titles and times of upcoming events.
Anthropic processes the data to produce the response. Under Anthropic's terms, data sent through their API is not used to train AI models. Data may be retained by Anthropic for a limited time for safety and abuse prevention. Anthropic is based in the USA; the transfer is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Google user data
CoPlaner's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We use Google Calendar data only to show your events in CoPlaner, detect conflicts and write back changes you make yourself.
- We do not sell the data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
- If you use the AI features, titles and times of events (including events from Google Calendar) may be sent to Anthropic as described in section 5, solely to give you the suggestion.
- No human reads your Google data, except with your permission, when needed for security, or when required by law.
- You can disconnect Google at any time in the app (Settings → Google Calendar). The authorization is removed and the imported events disappear from CoPlaner; everything remains in Google. You can also remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Where data is stored and who helps us
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud EMEA Ltd and Google LLC): the database, files and server functions are stored in the EU (Belgium). Sign-in and push notifications are handled by Google's global services and may be processed outside the EU, protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Anthropic PBC (USA): only for AI as described in section 5.
- Google LLC: Google Calendar, if you connect it.
- Apple: push notifications, speech recognition and map search, under Apple's privacy policy.
8. How long we keep data
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. You delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. The following then happens immediately:
- Your profile, profile photo, item history and Google connections are deleted, and the Google authorization is revoked.
- If you are the last member of the household, the whole household is deleted: events, chat, photos, shopping lists, schedules and your household's Anthropic key.
- If your partner remains, the household's shared content (events, chat and lists) remains available to your partner until the household is deleted.
Server logs are kept for at most 30 days. You can also ask us to delete your account by writing to support@ungdomsappen.se.
9. Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data (data portability). Contact us at support@ungdomsappen.se. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
10. Children
CoPlaner accounts are for adults. Children's details (name, colour, photo and school schedule) are added by their parents and are only visible within the household.
11. Security
All traffic is encrypted. Security rules on the server ensure that only household members can reach the household's data. API keys and Google authorizations exist only on the server, and the app can be locked with Face ID.
12. This website
coplaner.se uses no cookies and no tracking. The website is hosted by Vercel, which may log technical data such as IP addresses for operation and security.
13. Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. We will tell you in the app about significant changes.
